Dr. Benner graduated from South Dakota State University in 2007 receiving his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. In 2011, Dr. Benner graduated with honors from the Indiana University School of Optometry receiving his Doctorate of Optometry.

Dr. Benner is a member of the American Optometric Association, Iowa Optometric Association, Nebraska Optometric Association and Rotary International.
Dr. Benner currently resides in Blair with his twin daughters, Kennedy and Emerson. In his spare time, Dr. Benner enjoys golfing, hunting, traveling, spectator sports and various other outdoor activities.
